Can you believe that the school year is ending and summer is right around the corner?!Students have worked hard this past year in speech and language class and have earned a well-deserved break. Students should continue to practice their good speech and language skills outside of school.
Some activities to encourage good speech and language skills include:
* Talk with your child frequently.
* Read a variety of books and talk about the story with your child.
* Have your child retell stories and talk about events of the day.
* Maintain good eye contact and speak face to face.
* Don't interrupt.
* Always include everyone, if possible, in family conversations.
We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer!
