It is with great excitement that we announce that the 8th grade boys basketball team brought home the Regional Championship trophy Thursday night with a 49-33 win against the St.Clare Knights. We have lots of fun planned for the upcoming week as the boys prepare to compete for the State Title! In this email you will find information regarding regional champs t shirt, fan bus, and spirit week.
Regional Champions T-Shirt Orders
To celebrate being Regional Champs, we are offering the students the opportunity to order JAMS Regional Champs T-Shirts. Shirts are $15 a piece. CASH ONLY ( NO CHECKS OR ONLINE PAYMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED). The shirts are gold. They say 2020 Regional Champs on the front and the 8th grade basketball roster is on the back.
Please return the paper order form that was sent home with your student, or the electronic form below and cash payment to the office by 10am Monday, February 3. No exceptions. The quick turnaround is so we can have the T-shirts distributed to students on Thursday, February 6. Student Fan Bus
We will be offering students the opportunity to ride a fan bus to Game 1 on Friday, February 7. The basketball game starts at 3:30p at Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois. The cost per student will be $5, which covers both the bus and ticket to enter the game. Departure time is TBD and will be announced by Dr.Young this upcoming week. Students will be leaving school and will need to be picked up at JAMS upon arrival after the game. If a student has 1 or more F’s in a single class as of Friday, January 31st, the student will not be permitted to ride the fan bus. Payment to ride the bus will be due to Mrs. Anderson in the office by Wednesday, February 5 at 3:15p.
Spirit Week Attire
Student are encouraged to dress up this week!
Monday: Legends are Forever: 5th and 7th grade wear gold & 6th and 8th grade wear purple OR wear your favorite Kobe attire
Tuesday: Favorite Fan gear: Rock your favorite team attire
Wednesday: Shine Bright Neon: Wear all neon bright colors. Students will also be participating in positive message activities throughout the day.
Thursday: TWIN day: Pick a buddy or two and dress alike.
Friday: Tiger Spirit: Everybody wear all BLUE & GOLD
